My love for costumes started when I saw Michelle Pfeiffer as
Catwoman in Batman Returns. I think I
was 11 or 12 that time and I remember begging my mom if I could be Catwoman for
Halloween and her shaking head and saying that I was too young for such a sexy
outfit. Of course, back then it didn’t occur to me that Catwoman was supposed
to be this femme fatale, oozing with sex appeal and all things seductive. All I
know was that the Catwoman costume looked great – it was shiny and stuff and
that I wouldn’t mind wearing a villainess outfit every day. Fast forward to
2012, where I have a closet full of costumes, most of which were bought from
amiclubwear.com. Don’t get me wrong, I also have costumes that were custom made
for Comic-Con, as well as anime conventions. But for the purpose of this post,
I would be discussing the stuff that I got from AMIClubwear so you can see for
yourself if it’s a good place to buy costumes from or not.

that they offer tons and tons of options for costume-loving gals like me. For

schoolgirl, western, exotic, authority, storybook, and so on. They even have
costumes for pets and even accessories to complete the look such as headbands,
gloves, wings, glasses, hats, leg warmers, tutus, etc. Now if you have a guy,
and he’s into dressing up just like you, AMI Clubwear also offers manly items
such as a sheriff costume, black SWAT Commander costume, gladiator costume, and
so on that are just perfect if you plan to have a couples-themed party or a fun
night with your partner.

Let me just say that though I have an exact replica of
Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costume, I am still in the habit of collecting
anything that fuses cats and leather together. My favorite thus far, from all
my AMIClubwear purchases is this black feline dominatrix costume, which comes
with a jumpsuit, mask, whip and stockings. Compared to the other overtly sexy
costumes featured on the site, this black cat outfit is merely suggestive and
is something that I wouldn’t mind wearing every time there’s a costume party
that I need to attend.
Another favorite is the Red Riding Hood costume, which is
just a dainty number with gathered sleeves and ribbon straps, as well as a
gingham front panel, eyelet trim, and apron. I would wear this whenever there
is a fairytale-themed party that I want to go to, and also if my guy is feeling
a bit frisky and wants to play Mr. Big Bad Wolf.
Overall impression
In terms of variety, amiclubwear.com has plenty of options
to offer its costume-loving customers. Prices are not too steep and shipping is
free if your total purchase exceeds $50. So far, I’ve been really satisfied
with all the stuff that I bought from AMI Clubwear; I just wish that they would
feature more options for guys and pets to really diversify their client base.
